Changemakers Studios is a media and production company dedicated to communicating social and environmental crises through research, design, and filmmaking. Changemakers Studios produces traditional feature-length documentaries and short-form digital content for social media, challenging how we utilize the arts to communicate society’s most pressing issues. Changemakers Studios was founded in 2017 by Sarah and Leah Talabi. We are a storytelling studio shaped by a global and ever-growing network of artists from every continent who share similar concerns, hopes and dreams about our collective future. We strive to represent marginalized voices and diverse perspectives through the work we create.

OUR MISSION

Changemakers tells stories for a new world. Radical stories of hope, of new possibility. We tell stories to inspire action on society’s most pressing issues. We are a community of storytellers committed to using the art of cinema to change the world.

OUR APPROACH

Our approach is based on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We use an intersectional framework to challenge persistent inequalities and work in ways that are antiracist and not based on colonial models of engagement. Our filmmaking approach takes into account that race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, and class are each vast and complex identities that intersect across categories, cultures, and regions.
